Robin Becker, an experienced divorce and business lawyer and mediator is the founder and owner of Solutions First. She brings to her clients an empathy for their situations that is rare to find. For her divorce law and mediation clients, she believes that children and common sense should come first. She appreciates that no matter how easy or difficult a divorce is, it is still a loss and should be respected as such. For her business law and mediation clients, she “gets” it, as she has walked the walk and not just talked the talk. She knows what the benefits and pitfalls are of working for oneself and working for others. She has been “there,” and can help her clients find results that feel right for them.
Ms. Becker grew up with Midwestern roots in Nebraska. She then attended Tufts University outside of Boston, MA for her undergraduate degree. She went on to graduate from Chicago-Kent School of Law. She then practiced law and, for a short time, worked as a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. She has acquired numerous credentials in the legal and mediation arenas. She has been named by Today’s Chicago Woman Magazine as One of 100 Women Making a Difference in Chicago, a title by which she tries to live her professional and personal life.
